Dr. Sarch is Professor of Violin and Viola and Conductor of the String Chamber Orchestra at Mansfield University. He teaches Performance, Music Education and non-performance violin and viola majors. The university String Chamber Orchestra studies and performs the standard string orchestra literature. Both the Symphony and the String Orchestra play a series of concerts on campus and tour off campus as well. Part of the string orchestra mission is to provide its members the opportunity to perform as soloist or to conduct the ensemble. The Symphony sponsors a Music Department Student Solo Competition. Dr. Sarch also teaches the upper strings Methods Class offered by the Music Education Department, Basic Conducting, supervises the new Clinic String Methods Orchestra Lab and coaches the string chamber music program at Mansfield University.
